Toowoomba Custom Cabinets is a local Darling Downs cabinet maker crafting custom kitchens, wardrobes, vanities and joinery for homes and businesses across the Garden City. With more than 12 years of hands-on experience and $20 million in public liability cover, we build every piece to measure in our workshop and install it precisely on site. From heritage Queenslanders in the older inner suburbs to new estate homes on the fringes, we tailor every job to the walls in front of us and the way you actually live.

The Process

Our Simple 3 Step Process

Design and Measure

It starts with a conversation and an on-site measure. We visit your Toowoomba home, take precise measurements, and talk through how you use the space and what you want it to become. Then we draw a layout and recommend materials, finishes and hardware to suit your home, your climate and your budget. You do not need existing plans, and every quote we provide is free and written.

Build in the Workshop

Once the design and finishes are signed off, we build your cabinetry in our workshop. Carcasses are cut from 16 to 18mm board, glued and dowelled and assembled dead square, with moisture-resistant HMR used throughout wet areas. Doors, drawers and hardware are fitted and checked before anything leaves the bench, so what arrives at your home is precise, complete and ready to install.

Install and Finish

On install day we fit the cabinetry into your home, scribing end panels to the walls and packing everything level so the finished reveals sit within about 2mm, even in older, out-of-square homes. We coordinate with your plumber, electrician, tiler and stonemason so the job finishes in the right order, then hand over a fit-out that is built to last. Call 0485 032 128 to begin.

Do you build custom cabinetry, or supply flat-pack kits?

How long does a custom kitchen take from start to finish?

As a general guide, most Toowoomba kitchens run around six to ten weeks from design sign-off to installation, with the build itself taking a few weeks in the workshop once measurements and finishes are locked in. Wardrobes, vanities and smaller jobs are quicker. Timelines depend on the size of the job, finish choices and any benchtop or appliance lead times, and we give you a realistic schedule when we quote.

Why choose custom over flat-pack from Bunnings Kaboodle or IKEA?

Flat-pack ranges like Kaboodle and IKEA are built to fixed cabinet sizes, so you end up with filler panels and compromises, especially in older Toowoomba homes with out-of-square walls. The nearest IKEA is in Brisbane, roughly 125km east down the range via the Warrego Highway and Toowoomba Bypass, which is a real haul with a loaded trailer. Custom cabinetry fits your space exactly, uses better hardware and lasts longer, so it earns its cost over the life of the home.

Are your benchtops engineered stone?

No. We do not fabricate or install engineered (reconstituted) stone, in line with the national workplace prohibition that took effect on 1 July 2024 due to the silicosis risk to stonemasons. Instead we offer safe, compliant alternatives: laminate, natural granite and marble through licensed stonemasons, porcelain, and solid timber. Porcelain in particular gives you the premium stone look without the banned product.
