For benchtops we fit compliant options only, including natural stone through licensed stonemasons, porcelain or sintered stone, timber, stainless or laminate. What benchtop materials can you supply now that engineered stone is banned?

Australia banned the manufacture, supply and installation of engineered stone from 1 July 2024, and importing it from 1 January 2025, because of the silicosis risk to workers. We do not work with engineered stone at all. Instead we fit compliant options, including natural stone such as granite or marble through licensed stonemasons, porcelain or sintered stone, solid timber, stainless steel and laminate. We are happy to talk through the look, cost and upkeep of each.
